BASE range

Base Range / baserange.net

While I tend to daydream of warmer weather, lacy underthings, and unlimited glasses of the perfect Pinot Noir, I can't help but lust over the comfier lookin' pieces sometimes. Especially in this frigid weather; some high waisted jersey bottoms and a cup of the best chai w/ almond milk seems a bit too perfect for me. And who says these aren't sexy, eh?

On one hand, I could see myself (for sure) donning these little babies in the cooler months and yet I can also definitely see myself lounging around the house in them in the summer months. Pairing something like the Classic Longsleeve Linen Jersey shirt with those cute knee highs (which I am a huuuuge fan of) equals the perfect lazy Sunday uniform. I can picture it: windows open, a slight breeze through the curtains, lazing around in bed casually popping raspberries into my mouth. Bring on the brunch.

Aside from adorable underthings, Base Range has some great loungewear and even a bit of outerwear. It's all about that effortless modern aesthetic that I'm into. They also have bras that don't look like they were only made for small chested ladies, which is a big A+++ in my book. Their minimalistic yet chic designs are what's keeping me interested because as we all know: sometimes less is more. Plus, I'm a sucker for anything that'll make me feel a bit more feminine. I'm just that kind of girl.

What do you guys think of Base Range? What are your favorite pieces / other places to shop for underthings?!

Chloé Pre-Fall 2013

I think there's no denying the fact that when a collection comes out that I really love, I obsess. Chloé Pre-Fall 2013 is no exception.

Clare Waight Keller has done it once again with this sixties mod inspired, masculine yet super feminine collection. Light blue paired with bright red and forest green seem like an uncanny match at first but it's an alluring combination. We have that staple 60's mustard-yellow skirt which sends me images of long haired blondes and shag carpet, but even so the ensemble just screams modern. Pairing a piece like that with brown leather boots and a dusty-pink blouse is what makes it so great — making you feel like it's something you would actually wear today, even though the color of the skirt itself seems so dated and vintage.

Androgyny shines through with cropped tailored pants and super boxy tops, but none of this is new for Chloé. The harsh lines and warm textures and colors; it's all quite soft but sharp and yet, everything seems to balance out in the end. What's not to love? I'd definitely take this over Lanvin's [animal] print heavy pre-fall collection any day. Also can we just talk about that black drop-waist dress with the super flared skirt paired with those black ankle boots? Edgy, sophisticated and totally chic.

I'm not going to say much more about this other than I've got Sir Serge playing wishing I was in a café in Paris eating ridiculously delicious food in one of these outfits. Light pink, black, greys, and light blue? I'm all over it.  Chloé is always a heartbreaker for me (in that I can't afford anything), but I'll always be here lusting over it.

What do you guys think? Do you like fashion posts like this? I kind of miss doing them!

Sunday inspiration: The Coveteur

The Coveteur is easily one of my biggest sources of inspiration when it comes to fashion. The website showcases big names in the industry (such as Katherine Power, Sylvana Ward Durrett, Tracy Taylor, etc) their personal tastes, influences, and much more. Full of amazing photography by Jake Rosenberg, not only is each post aesthetically and visually stimulating (and wonderful!) but it's also a great read. I definitely recommend that you check it out for yourselves. You won't be disappointed!

Oh, Marie Antoinette.
There are few things in this world that I really idolize. Marie Antoinette, however, is one of them. The history, her life, her relationships, her wardrobe. There are so many amazing things about her, that I could really never get bored of reading about her or learning about who she was. <3
She's such a huge fashion icon -- but there is no question why ;)

P.S. What does everyone think of the Wildfox Couture video!? Wonderful, right?

Sunday inspiration: the living space

desk

I'm not sure how many of you know this but I am  currently in the process of moving to San Francisco. Hopefully we'll be in San Fran by April. I can't wait to get out there, find a cute little apartment, decorate, find a job, etcetc. I've already decided I want a rolling rack for my clothes and shoes and I'm totally excited about that.

Also -- I have to look for the camera charger today so I can post some more what I'm wearing type pictures. Let's hope I can find it!
