moodboard: six

Perhaps our eyes need to be washed by our tears once in a while, so that we can see life with a clearer view again.”

I haven't done one of these in a while and sometimes it's good to just throw some stuff together and moodboard; it's so therapeutic.

I'm moving back to San Francisco after a short stint in Baltimore and Brooklyn. I'm not going to deny my love for the east coast, namely New York, but I think I just got very used to California living. Plus like, palm trees and park hangs are the best (even if there is better avocado toast in NYC).

I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do with the new space I have. My bedroom has a fireplace which is so sick — but also very dark. I want to keep the space a bit airy and light with the occasional moody accent. My wardrobe might be 75% black but I'm a sucker for neutrals and pink.

I already own some nice sheets but who can deny the greatness of linen? If money were no object (or rather, buyers remorse), I would throw this blanket right on top because look at it. It's literally perfect. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I've been whining about wanting this MUJI diffuser for ages. Guys, it's happening for reals. Gimme all your lavender. And for lounging around this perfect little space? Base Range. Amazing brand — comfiest underthings ever. This bra in blush is a dream.

Other little things are some homewares and this Bad Bitch necklace from In God We Trust because this week has definitely made me feel like one.

I don’t want to live, I want to love first and live incidentally.”

PSA: I'm kind of over the cold. Since moving back to the East Coast from California, I've encountered quite a few snow storms, state of emergencies, and possibly too many cups of tea. I'm ready for warm(er) weather. Lazy days mean that moodboarding is back in full swing, as is my peach obsession (oops?). It happens.

These beauty-wants aren't much of a suprise — at some point I'll to replenish the Diptyque Do Son solid perfume that my lil bb Zack got me for Christmas, and I've been eyeing up the EDP. I do really adore the solid though, so I may have to just get another of those. /indecisive. And while I love me some Klorane dry shampoo, the new Bb Prêt-à-Powder looks pretty freakin' amazing. Aside from it being dry shampoo, it'll be great to use on clean hair days for a bit of extra oomph. I have a mini of Benefit's Watt's Up but at some point I'll cave and purchase the full size. It is one of the best highlighters ever, isn't it?

My current daily bag should probably not be used as a daily bag and lately I've been on a bucket bag kick. This Jujumade bucket bag looks perfect and is giving another contender a run for it's money.  It's too perfect. Toooooo perfect.

If you're not familiar, I'm really into Fleetwood Mac. I saw this print of Stevie and feel like I pretty much need it in my life. Keeping with the slight witchy theme in my life, this Two Moon cuff is calling my name but dang, that price is keeping me far, far away.

Housewares-wise, I'm loving the look of this Marbled Pinch Pot to keep my rings and dainty things in. It's the perfect nude shade if you ask me. Plus I feel like a bit of rose gold would look amazing set inside it. Lastly, a jasmine scented candle by A.P.C. Floral scents for Spring? Yeah, that kind of cliché.

It's nice to be back. Now gimme some sun, pretty please.

“She quietly expected great things to happen to her, and no doubt that’s one of the reasons why they did.”

Still loving mood-boarding. Always. I'm feeling pretty good this fall — kinda deep and very reflective. I'm diggin' it

I find myself dressing very 90's lately, whether I try to or not. I adore the over-the-knee plaid cutesy look and I'm not even sorry. I love chunky heels and brick red/brown/nude lips. I'm not here to confess my love to Cher Horowitz but let's be real. She is one of my all time favorite style icons like, ever.

Mansur Gavriel killin' it with their Bucket Bags. Richard likes to call it the "dominatrix bag", which kind of makes me want it just that little bit more. Buuuut, I'm holding out for the mini. This card case another major want right now. I mean it's essentially delectable; peachy colored leather with a minimal design? *swoon*

I'm obsessing over perfumes and candles. Oil burners. Everything. I was verrry intrigued by the Tarot Deck  solid perfume by Catbird — the scent sounds incredibly warm and sensual. I'm down. The Nova Chakra edp sounds right up the same alley and plus... that packaging is too perfect. Stila's Smudge Crayon in Umber is something I've been eyeing for a straight year (no joke). I'm thinking it's time to commit.

Pink Himalayan bath salts? Don't mind if I do. I've been enjoying a nice soak after the gym every morning. BEST. FEELING. EVER.  And I've finally come to realize I need the Tomboy in my life. I mean, the lusting is just starting to be a bit much...

ps. I am not sponsored by Catbird. I'm just obsessed with them.

"I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature. My attachments are always excessively strong."

I've got to admit, moodboarding is easily one of my favorite ways to relax and de-stress. Putting together mini-collages of beautiful photos + things I'm currently coveting? There's just something so soothing about it, almost lulling.

I'm heading to New Jersey for 21 days or so in August and these smelling salts might be what I need to get through the five hour flight. While I love the Bumble and bumble Surf Spray this Sachajuan Ocean Mist has intrigued me quite a bit. I think it would work a little better with my hair type, too. Ann-Ya Pink Marbled Leather Cat Coasters — no need for explanation.

Still obsessed with peach (and nudes, it seems) not sure what even sparked this random infatuation but whatever, I'm going with it. Burberry Brit EDT was the first perfume I ever fell in love with and the first I ever purchased (7 years ago!!). Currently missing it — thanks nostalgia. Still coveting the hamsa bracelet and feeling slight regret not buying it while I was hanging out at Intermix. Samoan Sand is my current nail color obsession. Hopefully it'll arrive by Friday. I'm impatient

“I’d woken up early and I took a long time getting ready to exist.”

· As I wait for my new camera to arrive, I shall moodboard...

My mind has been dreaming in pinks and peaches lately. Possibly even apricots too. Something about the spring and summer sun has me feeling more feminine than usual, and I can safely say that I do not mind one bit. I've been doing some soul searching as silly as that may sound to some, but I'm really enjoying it. Spending time to learn a bit more about yourself is so important in my eyes. This Jennifer Zeuner rose gold Mini Hamsa Bracelet is right up my alley and something I could see myself forever wearing. To match, I've fallen in love with yet another Catbird ring. This time it's a Teensy Ruby Ring by Bittersweets NY. Ruby is my birthstone and my favorite gemstone, and with my birthday coming up, how can I resist. Two simple pieces with a whole lot of meaning (to me).

Accessory wise I am literally head over heels in love with all things Marie Turnor. Beth Goodman's bags are absolutely gorgeous and I'm a huge sucker for beautiful leather. Her Snak and Picnic bags are no exception. Shoes? These very-out-of-my-shoe-price-range Chloé sandals. Not sure I could ever drop that much of a pair of sandals but they're Chloé so...

Beauty-wise, I'm stuck on Jouer. Their cosmetics are all just so beautiful and really appealing to me as of late. This is probably due to the fact that I'm really into naturally looking skin; light bases and just a sweep blush for the slightest pinch of color. Add a little mascara and I'm done. Their Bare Tint and Perfect Tan bronzer are among my current lusts. I also had no idea they did bath + body stuff but once I saw this Perfume Oil, I basically freaked.

Some days I'm feeling much less than inspired. When that happens, I do this. Now I've decided to make this a thing and to share them on my blog when I make them. ((Shoutout to mah gurl Amy)) I hope you all enjoy.

This past month I basically haven't bought any makeup (gasp). I've just been using/reviewing what I already own which is probably a good thing. That said, Dior's Dior Addict Lip Glow intrigues me and so I want it. Badly. The packaging is pretty cute as well. I don't/have never owned a Diptyque candle but after smelling a bunch in stores, I want them all. Baggu pouch, enough said.

I recently bought this Zara bag and though it's bigger than expected, I still really love it. The whole lunch-bag-purse-trend is weirdly appealing to me. I've been eyeing this as well but $$$. Maybe I'll take the plunge, not sure just yet! I also bought this skirt via e-bay and oh man do I love it. It's sheer, flowy, and just exactly what I wanted. This bra(lette) is on my wishlist too — come to me.
